Mrs. Banks Dress

I was watching MaryPoppins with the kids the other day & fell in love with Mrs. Banks clothes.

In particular the dress in the very beginning. Just look at that collar, sleeves, & asymmetrical buttons all the way down the dress...

Not to mention the perfect shades of blue & orange together & the orange peaking out of the open side down at the bottom. Oh, just lovely...

Totally random, but come on.. can you deny that the puffy rosettes around the neck are terribly popular right now? Maybe its a throw back to the sister suffragette Mrs. Banks.

    When I saw your post title I thought you meant the Banks family from Fresh Prince of Bel Air...
    but I do like this style!

    All the ruffles that are "in" right now remind me of Christian from Project Runway.

    not just mrs. banks dress...all the dresses mary poppins wears, esp the white one with the hat...adOooorable.
