Getting together photoshot outfits

So, my wonderful sister-in-law Kristal is coming here for a quick visit & is taking family pics for my writing group friend Meagan. I went over the other day to help her pick out outfits. SO MUCH FUN to do for someone else!

Then Kristal mentioned that she could do some family pictures for us. I LOVED the family pictures she took for us last time (here) and the ones she took of just me (here). So, I've been getting OUR outfits together.

Not nearly as much fun as doing it for someone else. Especially since we don't have the right clothes or the right color for what I want to do.

This is the outfit I want though (the dress & the sweater):

I'm gonna make do with what I have in my closet, but I tried them on in the store & I'm still in love with that dress (minus the pink belt ) & the sweater.

    I just got a catalog for Down East in the mail yesterday, which is super random. I only knew abt their tanks and capsleeves before the catalog - so cute and so cheap! I don't like ordering w/o trying on, but I'm thinking about it cause I really do like a lot of the stuff. They just did a really good job w/ the styling, so many pictures I was like, "I want to dress like that!"

    Ok Olivia... if you like picking out clothes for pictures how about you pick some out for my family...I want to do pics in the fall and all I ever go with is black or white with jeans. I want to do color this year so have at it... I am so bad at combining colors and stuff... I will buy anything (within reason) if you think it will look good =)

    Yes, we have to take family photos on reception weekend. I want that sweeter too. It is sooo lovely..I thought that was you in the photo. I think for family photos we should just all wear Star Wars Costumes. I have enough of those...don't you think? What do you think family?
