"Pre-Baby" Date with Sydney

I decided that I wanted to have a personal dates with each kiddo before the baby comes. Scott frequently gets "dates" with the kids, but since they're around me ALL THE TIME I don't get to do it as often.

So, to begin let us all behold my unflattering hugeness (my face is totally starting to puffy/swell too)...

Syd & I did our date yesterday night. We started off at the lovely "Sweet Tooth Fairy" cupcake shop. Syd enjoyed a Strawberry Shortcake cupcake & I loved my "Grasshopper" (mint & chocolate) one.


Afterward we went & got manicures. I'm constantly blown away by how bold and comfortable Syd is in new situations & with new people. She LOVED getting her nails done & picked a very Sydney gold glitter polish.

Afterward, we brought home Indian food (one of Syd's favs) for us & the boys and it was a fabulous caper to a fabulous night.

    how fun! we got to skip school every so often growing up to have parent dates - it's a great tradition! ps. i LOVE those cupcakes!

    Looks like a terrific evening! Don't kids make the best dates? Great idea to have some one-on-one time with your kids before the new baby comes.
