"Breathless" book tour in Salt Lake City

Today I got together with a lovely group of ladies to head up to the SLC library & hear a five amazing YA authors whose books are part of the "breathless reads" tour (all NewYorkTimes best sellers).

I was lucky enough to have read all the books (two I've mentioned here & here) & so it was quite exciting to hear these talented women talk about writing & to get to speak to each of them individually.

The Eternal Ones, The Replacement, Nightshade, Matched, Across the Universe

It was also reaffirming to hear them speak- it both inspired me & made me feel better that even bestsellers are neurotic & second guess their writing too.

Ally Condie, Beth Revis, Andrea Cremer, Kristen Miller, Brenna Yovanoff

They each had very distinctive & different personalities and pretty different experiences writing & getting published. But they'd all written books that are beloved by the public & you could tell they LOVE what they do.
