I just came home for an awesome launch party for Ally Condie's new book MATCHED
My writer group friend Rachel gave a PERFECT synopsis of the book so I'll steal her words for you guys instead:"it is not heart-thumping, action-packed or throbbingly romantic.
it is quiet, gentle—and in its own way—a page-turning novel about a
girl who decides to choose a life for herself. it's about poetry and art,
love and death, with the perfect combination of sweetness and atrocity."

There has been a TON of hype around this book (just look here & here) & the launch was jammed full of all sorts of cool authors (Elena Johnson, Shannon Hale, Bree Despain, & Brodi Ashton to name a few).
If you haven't heard of this book yet take a look at Ally's blog & check out her book trailer (below). If you have read it, didn't you love it?

Oh I loved this book. It's certainly at the top of the 50+ I've read this year! So jealous you all got to go to the launch party.
Definitely been hearing about this book. Can't wait to read it. Looks like you had a good time!
