Halloween Sugar Cookies

I've been a bad blogger! Nothing too interesting & not many posts- but it is close to Halloween and the Carter family goes into "Halloween Activity Mode"- we've been watching all sorts of fun movies & getting together our costume has taken MUCH longer than I thought- I'll post pictures tomorrow- hopefully it will be worth all the work! Tonight before the kiddos went to bed we decorated sugar cookies. I made the cookies but we used store bought frosting (big mistake!) Ah well, it was fun! Happy Halloween tomorrow!

SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE
2 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 cup butter (softened)
1 1/2 cups white sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
In small bowl stir flour, soda, & powder. Then in another bowl cream sugar & butter to smooth. Beat an egg & vanilla. Then gradually add dry ingredients.Bake 8-10 min at 375 degrees.
