REVIEW: Cloverfield

So, Scott & I had a date night last night (finally... we were in dire need!) and we went to see Cloverfield. When Scott mentioned it was a "monster" movie (like Godzilla) I thought, "There's no way I'm going to see that movie. I mean, my favorite movie is the 5 hour BBC version of Pride and Prejudice."

I stand corrected... I really enjoyed it. The movie was intense, scary, & a fairly clever idea. Just to warn you it is all filmed with a handhead video camera (think The Blair Witch Project) so if you get motion sickness this might not be the movie for you. Really good though, I mean it's definetly an escapist, action packed, "don't take yourself too seriously" movie but we enjoyed it.

P.S. Check out the trailer!

Chad has been looking forward to this movie for awhile now. We went and watched in Monday too! We both enjoyed it - it is funny because it was so short but really seemed to be the perfect length for what is was. Fun stuff. It is good to see movies that aren't afraid to break the conventions.
