Inca Kola

My first taste of Inca Kola was when I was 8 or 9 years old- which was also the first time my dad took me to a Peruvian restaurant (he was a missionary in Peru & so he found the "real deal" ethnic food). To this day it's some of my FAVORITE food- roasted chicken & fried yuca! YUMMY!

Anyway, the point is Inca Kola... it's very good. Light, kind of bubble gum-ish taste but also kind of fruity. If you haven't had it- try it! I was at Macy's today & they had it in the "ethnic food" section. If you can't find it near you then you can get it here.

Hey... my dad served his mission in Peru too! He always talks about the chicken and how good it was. Have you been to that Peruvian restaurant by Michaels? I've wondered if it was any good.

They even have Diet Inca Kola here in Washington, DC! I'm in heaven. The taste of Inca Kola takes me back to Lima, Peru, in an instant. I had a hard time dealing with the fact that it looks like pee until they invented Mountain Dew. Now I'm fine with pee-colored soda. What's Cindy's last name? I may know her dad if he was in Peru in the late '60s.

His name is Lowell Bundy and I KNOW he served in Lima because I've heard him talk about it. And I'm pretty sure it was the late '60s, he was born in '47.
