Any advice?

Rob is full of all sorts of diseases right now so he has quite a bit of medicine to take in large-ish doses. Dose anyone have any idea how to administer medicine without making a total mess? As the pictures show, when there's only one of you to do it, there's a mess involved!

Ugh. I usually end up laying the baby on their back, straddling them, and then pinching their kids and squirting the stuff in. It helps to have a towel underneath and plenty of wipes on-hand. It can get pretty ugly.

I am with Katie, lay them down (or lean back) and pinch the lips. Towel underneath the chin and wipes. Katie way to go!!!

I'm with Katie and Alicia but don't just get it in the front of his mouth, get it in the very back kind of under his tongue. He won't be able to spit it out and you'll have less of a mess. I can come show you if you want...it's not pretty, and he'll cry a little, but he'll get most of it in.

Yeah my mom first showed me w/Robby - definitely lay him down, put the dropper on the inside of his cheek, like on the side so not just straight on his tongue...

no fun though! good luck!

I find the syringe type dispenser much easier to use than the bulb type you have in the picture.

I'm with the ladies on pinching the cheeks. Just know you won't be the first one to have to resort to absolutely pinning your child to the bed to get any medicine down! Good luck, babe. :)

This is so funny (although I know you won't think so). I remember you refusing your medicine and I had to pin you to the floor and tickle you or squeeze your cheeks and do fish faces to get your mouth open. Oh, the things parents go through. There is no dignity in being a parent!
