Sydney just peed on the potty for the first time! It was kind of a fluke. We haven't been "hard core" potty training yet. We've been introducing the potty, having her tell us when she needs to pee, setting her
on it, & explaining. Today she said, "Potty. Diaper off." Scott set her down & the next thing we new the potty was playing her little reward song (I thought it was weird when the box said it did that but Syd thought it was NEAT!) and then there's pee in the potty! HURRAY SYDNEY! I think princess panties might be on the 2 year birthday present list!

I know not all kids are the same and little Syd might make things easy for you, but don't get too excited :) We spent a year potty training Rae, but once she got a little over 3 it came a lot more easily and naturally. I'm waiting till Blaise is 3 to start potty training him unless he does it himself! Ahhh- I hate potty training!
Way to go Syd! Hey, it's a beginning, so enjoy it. It will take time, so reward the good times but don't punish the others. She'll figure out panties are more fun than a diaper.
My little guy wore his first pair of pull ups yesterday. I don't quite think he's ready. We'll see. Good Job Sydney!

WTG, Syd! Elizabeth loves to help us go potty, but I'm not even going to introduce the concept of her going until she starts talking...this summer at the earliest.
Good job Syd!! I bet it's exciting to think about only having 1 diaper to change!!! Hurray Mom!
