Cinnamon Babka

Yummy, yummy! I saw this recipe on the Do Better blog. And I was SO EXCITED that they reference Seinfeld! I had never heard of Babka either, until this Seinfeld episode (Note about me: I love Seinfeld- I can quote & name the every episode).

It's sweet like cinnamon bread but the walnuts add a bit of an "earthy" / "dryer" flavor. I don't know if I didn't knead it enough but it was on the dence side too. You can try out the recipe here - ENJOY!

I cannot tolerate raisins in bread. Do you think it would taste as good?

Mmm, I love the raisins in it! And I can't really tell that there's walnuts! I like it!

I think it would taste just as good without raisins! It's especially good warm so the cinnamon filling is SUPER gooey- umm... yummy!

As an experienced Jewish mother, I assure you that babka is supposed to be dense. With the exception of matzoh balls, all Jewish food is designed to stick to your ribs (or your hips, in my case.) Your looks wonderful. And the children are just beautiful!!

P.S. I used to work with your dad at the Mint. :-)
