Payson Scottish Festival

Scott had to work Saturday so the kids & I trekked down to Payson for the annual Scottish Festival. Oh, we had SO MUCH FUN! It was full of booths where you could find out info about your clan, lots of bagpipe music (which Syd LOVED), and even haggis. Which was SOLD OUT- otherwise I would have bought some just to say I ate haggis from a park vendor.

They even had "Highland Athletics" where the had all sorts of weird games like holding big logs, throwing rocks, & using a pitchfork to chuck big bags of grain over a pole. Mostly it was fun to play in the park & get out & about.

Here are the kids swingin' to the "Scott's"...

I knew I was missing something this weekend! I went to Spanish Fork HS, and my family still lives nearby. But whenever I hear "Payson," I still get the negative gut reaction. Probably they are very nice people. Even if they did always beat us in football.

Sorry the haggis was out. The kids look like they enjoyed themselves anyway!

You were going to eat haggis? I will judge you for that.

Can you tell I haven't blogged in a while? I've left about a million comments today.
