Thomasina

What could possibly be holding these babies attention so completely?
It's a lil' movie called The Three Lives of Thomasina. It's an ol' school "real people" Disney movie. Scott came to the library with us & picked it out (he remembered it from his childhood). This is one bizarro movie about a cat, this weird vet, & his daughter... gosh, I don't even know how to explain it. Just trust me that it's just a bizarre movie- but the kids obviously loved it.

Some of those old Disney movies are very bizarre. I really should revisit them.

Thomasina is an awesome movie. It's from way back in MY day. The best part is when they have the elaborate funeral for the cat.

I used to watch this a lot when I was a kid. I think part of my affinity for it was my Grandma had the same name as the cat, which was quite funny to me.

I loved that movie! I haven't seen it in ages.

Here's a weird tidbit - we had dinner with Karen Dotrice (who played the little girl in the movie & was also in "Mary Poppins") and her husband (I think maybe ex- now) when Skylar was maybe 9 or 10 months old. I remember being completely starstruck (even though I'm older than she is) because she was in Mary Poppins. But for the record she was a lovely host & I'm sorry we didn't keep in touch.

This was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid...in 1960. My kids loved it too...I am glad Scott remembered it.
