So, I didn't end up voting early. After hearing about the long lines I thought I'd try my luck at a non-peak time today. We'll see how it goes.
I did see this on flickr! It's an electoral college map letting you know how many votes each state has so you can color it in- red or blue- as you are watching the news coverage. The candidate needs 270 to win. Kind of cool! Now Scott & I just need to find a place/way to watch the coverage since we have no cable. The only public places I can think of that have TVs on is Best Buy or a bar. Can you just see us with our color-in electoral maps?

I don't want to watch the coverage. I want to watch a movie tonight and eat candy and then wake up in the morning and find out who won! :) Whether I watch it or not the results will be the same - I'm the kind who likes to watch the end of Miss America or Survivor and just see who won :)
I wish you could come watch it with us! We could sit around the TV and color in our maps together.
In most cities there are election parties held sometimes in bars but also in other places. People often like to watch the results come in as a group. However, it's not fun if you're the only ones in the group voting for a certain candidate, so be careful which place you choose.
Rob and I voted down in Provo just after 8 this morning and we didn't have to wait at all! :) I was actually pretty surprised by the lack of lines.
I think these are perfect to take to a bar - weirdly enough, we have some kid friendly ones in Cleveland that give you placemats to color - that'd be where i go - free crayons!
Rob and I don't have cable either... so we are going to the gym to watch it there! Yikes, that will be a long workout.
PBS will have coverage, if you don't want to go anywhere.
Ok seriously? You can't take the kiddos to a bar for that long! I know that the husbands aren't exactly BFF's but you guys are more than welcome to come here and watch it so you are a little more comfortable!
We don't have cable, either, but just plain ol' over-the-air NBC was nonstop primetime coverage.
