Clogged Toilet

So, our toilet hasn't been running well for a couple days. We plunger-ed it, we put one of those "snake" things down it, drain-o, ANYTHING we could think of.

Finally we pulled that sucker up and went searching in the tubes to find out what it would be. Turns out it was...
... part of a nightlight the kids had flushed down the toilet (when I wasn't home I might add).

Obstruction cleared and toilet is running great. I'm sure you all were concerned about plumbing issues in our home.

As crazy as it made me it also made me laugh. Those babies got a talkin' to, but how can you stay mad at these faces for long?
Has anyone else found something weird in the toilet? Or is it just my babies?

I was just worrying about the toilet thing yesterday as Amelia has started throwing things into the bathtub. We've escaped the toilet thing so far...knock on wood!

We used to have a cupboard right above our toilet and once Roy flushed the toilet and then went to get something out of the cupboard and a perfume bottle fell in and went down the drain! We've been lucky though, the kids have never messed with the toilet. We've always had a small apartment and I can hear them when they go into the bathroom and they know they are not allowed to be in there without a purpose!

That's too funny! Once my brother Jeremy put a bunch of big rectangular wooden blocks down our toilet--I think he was 3 or 4. They were only 1/2 inch thick but about 5 inches long by 3 inches wide. Amazing they were able to be flushed down the toilet in the first place. I remember my mom reaching her hand in there and pulling them out. In my memory, there were several, but it reality there may have only been one or two.

A Secret Solid (deodorant), a very small tennis shoe, and a cell phone. Each of them required us to "pull the toilet up". Fun-not!

That's pretty funny. I think I've lost a baby spoon down the kitchen sink, but nothing down the toilet! Good job getting it out!
