So, Sydney is deathly afraid of anything that implies that she's sick or hurt.
This means that she didn't want to have the "throw-up" bowl anywhere near her.
It's very existence implies that she will throw up. Containing the sick was becoming a problem.
So, industrious mommy I am, I put eyes on the bowl & called it "BOWLIE". Bowlie is now Sydney's best friend.
Now she's not afraid of him & as an added bonus he holds her spew.

I will have to remember this for future reference...Stephen just had the stomach bug and I am PRAYING I was anal retentive enough with the lysol and clorox wipes that no one else gets it but I am sure I wont be so lucky.
Poor baby! I love your brilliant idea of putting eyes on the bowl. That technique may help with other things she's afraid of.
You're a freakin creative mommy genius.
That's awesome! My kids also know that when the bowl is placed next to them on the couch it is intended to catch barf and they don't like that! I'll have to remember this trick next time (which won't be for another year if I'm lucky) :)
Olivia, I love it. Good good mommy.
What a good mommy you are! And as evidence of this, compare her face on this post with her face in the video on the post previous.
how cute! i love bowlie!
Very clever idea! Can you come take care of me next time I'm sick?
You are very creative. Although Ron made the comment that he was not sure hurling on a best friend is a good idea. (ha ha) Hope everyone is now healthy.
You're such a cute mommy!!
