Redeigned Covers

Remember how I talked about good books with terrible covers. I mentioned a young adult series that a couple friends & I really liked but had HORRID covers (ie: embarrassing to hold in public covers)

Anyway, I just read on the authors blog that they redesigned the covers. That's what happens when they think a book will be so-so- they print paperback with terrible covers. Then it turns out to be on the NYT best seller list FOREVER- they give you better covers & print you in hardcover.
Okay, so they are nothing to write home about but in comparison... people, this is MUCH better.

So, I like Young Adult books- I'm only slightly embarrassed (or very depending on the day)

Are you kidding--I totally love young adult books. They're quick, to the point, very character-driven, and have some great lessons. Whats not to like?

Thanks Holly- that makes me feel better. Glad to know I'm not alone!

The only thing I don't like is when they put actual people on the cover because #1 it automatically gives you a "look" of the character and #2 In 10 years are so it can look very out-dated and old.

But in general I like any book that is good. But I don't read much lately. Maybe when kiddos are bigger I will have more time!

Definite improvement.
