I hate taking naps...

I'm probably alone on this but I really don't like taking naps. Syd was sick yesterday so I laid down next to her to help her fall asleep & fell asleep myself for about an hour. BLEH!

Reasons to dislike naps:
1. that weird slipping into sleep feeling
2. I have VIVID dreams when I nap (I hate dreams)
3. the loss of time
4. gross taste in your mouth when you don't brush your teeth before sleeping
5. that groggy feeling you have to shake off when you wake up

Any one else hate naps? Am I totally alone?

P.S. Obviously, that is not me really sleeping. Consider yourself lucky, I'm an ugly sleeper.

I'm definitely a fan of naps!
I took one yesterday too (Rory woke me up at 4am and I couldn't fall back aspleep, so that nap was essential).
But if you don't like them, its easier to not have a nap than to love them and not get to take them!

I hate naps!!! I agree with you 120% Instead, I like sleeping in. Mirian wakes up a couple times in the night, and then again at 6:00am and then we try to sleep until about 10:00. It is great!

I LOVE naps! I am so sad that I didn't get one today. Of course a big part of that is being pregnant...I do faintly remember getting irritated at having to lie down with the girls to get them to nap before #3 took over my body and drove me to exhaustion.

I like naps, I'm just not very good at them. Falling asleep is really hard for me, plus I rarely feel like I need them. I was super awesome at napping on my mission, though :) I LOVE the falling asleep feeling, but I hate the groggy feeling after waking. I never know how I'm going to feel when I wake up - revived or refreshed, and it's usually not worth the risk for me.

I am with you... I always feel worse after a nap...the resy of the day just drags on for me.

I am a really ugly sleeper. I look very angry when i sleep, according to Chad.

I love naps. When Gabe was a baby I took a nap every day with both of the boys. It was heavenly. Now I never ever get them.

What I don't like though, is taking a nap when I didn't mean to, like what happened to you yesterday.

Hate 'em. Hate, hate, hate 'em. Unless I'm sick or slept none at all in the night I do not nap. I actually feel sick after a nap- headache, sometimes stomachache. Blech.

I love naps. I hate trying to wake up from them though. I always feel like I'm drugged. I wish I didn't like naps so much...or at least feel like I didn't need to take a nap the way I have been feeling lately.

I hear you - i would rather go to bed early or sleep in than take a nap

I dislike naps greatly. I take a nap for even 10 minutes and I'm wired for the night and can't sleep. And inevitably when I wake up I'm mean and ornery. Who wants that?

Ah, there are days when I'm dying to take a nap! Sunday will always feel like a nappy day but since being married I haven't been able to keep those up too well, especially with Robby now.... and I find myself going through phases where I nap during Robby's nap and then not at all for weeks... obviously things like pregnancy and miscarriage caused more naps... but yeah, it's no good when you wake up and just feel worse! :/

I'm not a napper either. Only because I always feel like I'm waisting time. I lay there and think about all the things I could be doing. Jared and I clash on this. He LOVES naps. I'd just rather sleep in. (I also like staying up late).

Love the nap! Love LOVE dreams! Love the slipping "under" into sleep feeling! I come from a long line of nappers!
