I'm surprised how much I like the white background! It makes the blog much cleaner and more contemporary looking. But I do suggest that, if you keep the white, you select a slightly darker blue for the links.

The white isn't bad, and I agree with Mike - if you keep it you should make the blue links darker.
But in all honesty, I liked the green better.
