Need HONEST opinions, folks!

Okay, so I need your honest opinion guys. This dress...

I've been eyeing this style for a while (I'd like the chance to wear a dress that's not too dressy & means I can go chasing the kids around without worrying about my dress flying up).

I saw this one at WalMart (of all places) & liked it in the dressing room but when I got home I wasn't sure. Maybe it's too young, or makes me look big.

Scott's no help because he hates ANY empire waist dresses. LIKE HATES THEM!

So, completely honestly, (I won't be offended) what do you think about this dress with the leggings?

p.s. Even as I look at the pictures I think I don't like it. Maybe I just need to look for a different one?

p.p.s. Does anyone know where I can get a NON-EMPIRE waist dress like this? You'll be my best friend!

I would not be able to pull this dress off, but I am not as hip and all-around precious as you. And I have short stumpy legs. Short stumpy legs=inability to wear a lot of cool styles. I do not know if it is favorite thing I have seen you wear, but it is definately good for a day in the park chasing kids around. Enter Mrs. America wearing it?... not so much :)!

Sorry, I don't it. Like Scott, I don't like empire waist dresses on hardly anyone except women who are either pregnant or under 20 with no boobs. Just me.

I don't know about this one Liv, I think the cut hides your tiny waist.

you need to wear one with a belt.

That dress is the anti-Liv dress. It's so much that you are not -- and, much more importantly, you are so, so much that that dress is not and can never be.

You're too pretty for that dress. The empire thing, in my opinion, is a bad idea for anyone. It either makes for big looking tops or big looking bottoms.
I think you need to go for something a bit more form fitting to show off your waist. Something in a sold color or minimal pattern. Try Old Navy. They might be having sales right now. or Gordman's if you have one.
Like I said, not need to hide how pretty you are behind that dress.

I vote no. Just not flattering enough. :)

Hmmm...I am thinking...is it better than sweats and a t-shirt...yup! I think for very casual, want to run out to the store and not look gross, or play with kiddos and not be in clorox splattered pants...it looks good. But you are not standing in a Model pose so it makes the fit look different. It does not look like your usual church style, but for a busy mom...I would say...it is OK. But that is your very sloppy, love to be comfy mother in law talking and I have no fashion sense (: I think you are beautiful no matter what you wear...and I am not prejudice

I think the style of it just needs to be different. There are alot of flannel shirt dresses Ive been seeing at the mall and if you add a belt to it it could be a fun and comfy dress. I say return it and Ill keep my eye out for a cute one!

It is kind of terrible and I say that in the nicest possible way. If the waist were a little bit lower, it might be better. Empire waists are not the most flattering. I also think it is an awkward length.

i like the pattern...not a fan of where it hits you on your legs....i always like MUU-MUU's or flouncy skirts with your leggings to peek out under for casual....maxi dresses are big now...
