REVIEW: Pirate Island Pizza

For Labor Day the fam & Auntie Linds headed over to the newly opened Pirate Island Pizza.

The kids went wild for the music & the pirate boat outside & the decorations in the front area. The wait was 1 hour and 45 min but they got our cell number & called when they were ready for us.

We had good service & the food was okay. Not great- I liked our appetizer quesadilla better than my sandwich.

There was a fun play area & arcade for the kiddos. They LOVED it & Rob is still talking about wanting to "eat at the pirate ship".

IN CONCLUTION: Food okay. Ambiance great. Wait long. Kids are fans.

Can the kids play while you eat? Can you see the play area from most of the tables? Looks like a fun place to try but maybe just once.

Okay, so there is one play area where if you sat in that area they could play while you eat (which is the best- why don't all family style restaurants have this) but we weren't seated in this area. Maybe you could request it?

It would be a great place for parties, or a special celebration if your kids were into pirates (like Rob is) but, yeah, not an all-the-time sort of place.

Look at that great smile that Scott has while he is sitting next to Berto. It is tough to find sometimes, but when he does a good smile, it's great!!!!

The mipression I got when I went to check it out was that the food was mediocre but the ambiance was really cool.
