I used to say, "Pecan pie. Naw, not interested". But this Thanksgiving a slice was served up to me & goodness gracious, now I'm in love. It's amazing stuff. Is anyone else a fan?
Huge fan, and it was the same thing for me, I never had any until this year and I LOVE IT. If you haven't ever had chocolate pecan pie it's even better.
I love, love, love pecan pie. We never have it at Farmer's since I'm the only one that likes it so I miss it every year. Probably better for the waistline...I think your dad is right about the calories.

I'm pretty sure I'm allergic to pecans so I won't go near it...
Excellent stuff. In Pyote, there were pecan trees all around the employee housing, so we had all the pecans we could want.
Now we just have to settle for a lime tree.
Also, make sure you pronounce the name right. It won't taste right if you don't.
Debbie- See, I'm not a huge cheesecake fan. If it flavored I like it okay (mostly chocolate flavored) but I'm not a huge fan.

Dad- Well, of course it's gotta have a million calories considering how good it tastes!

Lindsay Jane- Yeah, were you the one would get pecan something or other dessert at Mimi's? did I make that up? I never understood until NOW!
Es- Oh no! Allergic! That's no good. I think I'm allergic to carpet & that's why I hate it so much!
James- Pecans off the tree? Oh gosh, I'll bet they were like butter! I'm jealous!
Pecan is my favorite, and I made my first pecan pie this year for Thanksgiving. It was fabulous!!!
One bite and it hooks you...and costco does a pretty good job of making those pies.
