Review: UP

The other day we rented UP & watched it as a family. Syd saw it with Auntie Linds on a date, but the rest of us hadn't seen it yet.

I had heard lots of good things about it from everyone & we were not disappointed.

We made a little bed on the ground & surrounded ourselves with pillows. The whole family snuggled under Scott's StarWars blanket (he's had it since he was 3) & enjoyed the sweet story. It made both Scott & I cry (Scott "the-stone-cold" who doesn't cry in ANY movie cried). Definitely recommend it to everyone- kids, adults- it's got a little bit for everyone.

Saw it last week. Love love loved it. Probably my favorite movie of the year. Already bought it for the kids for a Christmas gift.

And that is awesome that Scott has had that blanket since he was three.

We actually decided for an FHE we would go to see it at the dollar theater last month. It was Ezra's first movie theater experience. We all loved it so much! Ez still talks about the flying house and the balloons and the birdie who fell down. Bryan and I both cried too. It's pretty amazing! I am in love with that movie, and I think I'm going to buy it for Ez for Christmas this year. It's 14.99 on Amazon. :)

I thought the ending was a tad long for the adult in me (that whole part with the blimp... although the kids liked it anyway), but I absolutely loved the first part with the old man and his wife. Touching and charming.

I've heard that so many people cried in this movie. Huh. I still haven't seen it yet but would really like to.

Scott is really a sissy, he just likes everyone to think that he is "the-stone-cold." Boy, I could tell you stories! Wish I could have gone to see New Moon with you guys! Glad it was fun!

Katie- I know, isn't that cool. The year 1982 (my birth year) is embroidered on it too.

Anelieze- Such a cute movie!

émilie b- yes, the beginning was my fav too!

Debbie- Really, it was THAT good. I'm not a major crier & it totally got me.

Merf- I know I loved the old guy too!

Smithy- you're family is always great that way.

Kylie- It was SOOO nice to meet you too. I forgot to tell you how cute that flower hair clip in your hair was too!

We have been talking about renting it. Now we will for sure. Yeah, Scott is a softy. We could not leave the theater for 30 min after he saw ET when he was 3 years old. He was so sad...it broke our hearts.

That was a great movie! We just watched on Saturday. So sweet, I cried too... and Jack looked at me funny (he gets it from his dad...).

April- Oh, that's so cute! I know, he's such a sweet guy. You guys raised him right!

Esther- Yeah, you'd like it.

Cindy- HA! Scott & I cried, but I don't think either of the kids got it. Though Rob cried in the movie Oliver at a very young age. Broke my heart!

I've been meaning to see this because it looks so sweet. And I love making a little bed on the ground. It makes movie watching even more enjoyable.
