Sewing, Sewing

Working hard on this doll for Syd & Rob (a boy version of the doll for Rob). It's taking a long time (it took all of Star Trek to sew on the legs & one arm right) but they are turning out so darn cute I can't complain too much. I think they'll love them.

Is anybody making anything for Christmas gifts this year? What are you making?

I am making doll dresses for my girls dolls. And hopefully Christmas dresses for the girls. A doll dress for a cousin, and pj's for the girls to give to each other for Christmas. And a robe for my sister. And I am sure I will add to this list, it just depends on how much time I have. I have a couple of other projects in mind.

I am making both my boys reversible superman/batman capes. I've also made Max a quilt and Chris a spiderman blanket (just a tied fleece one). I was inspired by your handmade gifts last year to make some for my kids this year. You are amazing!

I'm doing way too many projects this year, I think. I hope they all get done. I'm doing towels to hang on the oven for my mother-in-law (and probably some for me and for my mom), file folder games for Brooke, a quiet book for Cameron, and blankets for each of them. I'm also getting all of our photo albums up-to-date and I'm going to wrap up the kids' for them for Christmas. I didn't really make anything for these, but I did the 12 Days of Christmas for my brother and Adam's brother that're on missions.

Kristie- WOW! You've got a great list there! Can't wait to see how it all turns out! Be sure to post on your blog so I can see!

Mandi- If I have time I wanted to make those capes too! YEAH! Love it! And you are so nice to me- THANKS!

Mandi G- Oh man, you have a ton of fabulous stuff you are making! You need to teach me how to do stuff like the quiet book. I've been wanting to do one of those forever now.

Es- you really need to post about that bag. It's amazing! How's the doll coming! I need to come do an assembly line with you & Taba! Especially with those little clothes. They are HARD!

I love your homemade gifts. The other day my sisters and I were talking about presents we remember from childhood and seriously it was like 2 things out of the years we got presents. How sad is that. I bet your kids are gonna remember so so much more!

Debbie- I feel the same way. I remember when I got my Molly American Girls doll, a used computer, & a chinese jump rope. That's about all I remember. Let's hope they remember these dolls. I'll MAKE them remember!

Christie- Fair enough. How's the Jeb doing anyway?

How cute! I'm excited to see the finished product! I bet you made up the pattern! I'm making dolls but I did NOT make up the pattern. I'm doing the black apple dolls. Have you heard of them? They take about 4 hours or so to do... Anyway, these look cute!
