Trust me... if you have a soft bone in your body you are going to want to watch this trailer.
BABIES is a documentary that follows 4 babies born in 4 different parts of the world (Namibia, Japan, Mongolia, & USA) for one year.
It looks amazing. Just in the trailer you can see the differences in cultures but more importantly the similarities.
There is something terribly sweet about the idea of it & I also love the graphics of the poster.
Syd & Berto were enamored with the preview too. They laughed & said, "Awwww..."
Admittedly, it's going to be cute overload & in some respects it will likely be heartbreaking, but I think if it's as wonderful as the preview looks the movie could do quite well.

when I saw this in the theater...I cried. I know...pregnancy strikes again. But really it is so sweet and so REAL. And I could help putting a little perspective in my life.
Oh that is so adorable! But you can see how much tougher babies in other countries must be - being around things I wouldn't even dream of letting my kids around!
Oh. My. Goodness. Just utterly irresistible. It had me from the opening scene. I am showing Chad this trailer the minute he gets home - he is a total sap for babies. So glad you shared - hadn't heard of it before this post.
And it looks beautifully filmed doesn't it?
Erika- I love it too. I'm not pregnant & I got teary too.
Ashley- It totally puts in perspective things like... you know, if that binky falls on the ground its gonna be fine, you know?
Katie- Oh my goodness, YES! It looks like it is gorgeous cinematography. Just lovely.
I am going to have to see this. The way the 2 babies interacted in the beginning totally reminded me of my Callie and Jovie. I can not help but wonder if some of the things the babies in Nambia went through are some of the things Yonas, Ruby, and Silas have gone through as well.
Definitely want to see this.
Audra- I said the same thing to Scott. Those kids are acting just like Syd & Berto.
Christie- I know. so good, huh?
YES YES and YES!!
sooo cute. i just need to remeber to watch this. i always find movies i want to watch and then forget about them. actually i started a new thing...taking a screen shot of a movie cover when i see people write about them and then i keep i folder of the movies to see so i remember(i just remembered i did that hah)
I can't wait to go and see this movie. It looks fabulous.
Babies being adorable + Sufjan Stevens = Best movie trailer of the year!
Oh man, when I watched that trailer with the hubby I was crying like a baby. It was just the sweetest trailer EVER. I just love the last scene, goat drinking water out of baby bath... Priceless.
Oh man, this looks SO good! I hope I hear about it when it comes out and I don't forget. I'd LOVE to see it!
Excited that the Bay Area premiere will be a fundraiser for Embrace a new non-profit that is helping premature babies in the developing world: embraceglobal.org.
