So, as promised here's how I made that pencil/crayon/marker pouch that wraps around a composition notebook.
NOTE: When I made it I used a hot glue gun instead of sewing it, but it would hold together much better if you sewed it instead (but this way no-sewers will know how to make one too)
1. Gather supplies: felt, velcro pieces, scissors, rulers, & straight pins
2. Cut two pieces of felt. Here are the measurements I used:
3. Put the larger piece wrapped around the notebook & pin it on the inside. Slide the smaller piece under the wrapped notebook & pin in place. on the sides & bottom
4. Stick the velcro on the top of the pouch where you want it to seal shut. (I like the kind that's sticky on one side so you can place it first, especially if you decide to sew it)
4. Use a hot glue gun to close up the pouch, to glue the velcro to both sides, & on the inside to hold the pouch on (where the you see the pink).
5. Admire your lovely handiwork!

Oh what a great idea. We have like a dozen boxes, pouches, baggies etc and my girls are always misplacing them. Such a great idea.
