I recently read a blog post about literary crushes & it got me thinking about who have been my literary crushes through the years.
I'd say from a young age Gilbert Blythe (Anne of Green Gables) topped my list.
Then I met Mr. Darcy (of P & P fame) & he held the top spot for a long time.
Currently, I'll have to admit Jace Wayland (Mortal Instruments) holds the top spot.
And I might have a tiny thing for Ron Weasly (Harry Potter).
What about you guys?

i'm totally crushing Will in Clockwork Angel - can't wait to find out exactly what his deal is in the next book!
I have to agree with the Gilbert Blythe crush! He was one of my very first crushes ever.
I definitely have a thing for Mr. Darcy, which I'm sure you are aware of. :) I also lovelovelove Captain Wentworth from Austen's Persuasion. After that it's hard for me to say, I don't really read a whole lot of fiction.
Oh, Harry Potter will always hold a warm spot in my heart.
Well, Gilbert Blythe is still my number one literary crush...which is funny because when I re-read the books his personality is not really in them that much.
For more current literature I would have to go for Peeta from the Hunger Games books. He really makes my heart melt.
Oh Gilbert Blythe... but I loved him from the movies... still basically the same. I also love Ty from those one horse books I keep telling you to read! (I know, horses? but they are GREAT!)
gilbert blythe will always top the list. something about a first love, yes?
mr. darcy is still a little too mean in the beginning for me to fully forgive him (interesting!), but i LOVE mr. knightly.
also captain jack from THESE IS MY WORDS, once you get past the mustache. i have a thing for manly men.
and for a modern-day lusty-type crush i'd have to go with will from CLOCKWORK ANGEL. dark hair, blue eyes, hard muscles, tortured past=very sexy, very intriguing.
Rhett Butler and Jean Valjean
Sydney Carton.
You know, if I were a chick, and stuff.
i am going to sound pretty cliche but i think the only crush, i can think of, from a book is Jacob Black. i may have a picture of him in my room...(natalie as a joke gave me a twilight calender last year for christmas and i just have the biggg jacob picture showing.) he is native american, hottie, half wolf, long hair gone hot short. muscles. a sweetie. warm, safe. okay, so half of that is the casting half the character in the book. i love characters like gilbert blythe and mr. darcy but MOSTLY i dont 'crush' on them. however, i want them soooo badly to be with their female literary counterpart. like i loveee them and want them with their anne shirley and elizabeth bennett. and since i am reading the hunger games series i lovvve peeta(so far im only in the middle of the second book) and i want him with katniss so bad. every page i am worried that he will die, or he will stop being in the book. im afraid she wont be with him and it really stresses me out. i totally cried at the end of the hunger games when they learned that both of them could no longer win and peeta was telling her to kill him. that whole conversation they had before the brilliant berry plan. whew, this series!
so that is my spew.
Oh my gosh... I was in LOVE with Gilbert Blythe when I was younger. IN LOVE.
I just finished(well, more like steamed through) the Mortal Instruments series after you recommended it. I really have a major crush for Jace, he has almost stole my heart more than Edward as he is ALIVE?!! I mustread the Clockwork book too...
I'd have to say Ian from The Host would top my list. And then there'd be Peeta and Jacob Black, who have already been mentioned. I recently read the Mortal Instrument series (pretty much because you spoke so highly of it) and I couldn't really get into Jace! I don't really know what it is but he bugged me.
