Visiting Santa 2010

Tuesday we went to visit Santa at the mall. The kids were WAY less afraid this year (last year we had to sit with them & even then Rob wouldn't get near him).

Syd asked for a "pink pretend sewing machine" & a pillow pet (We've never seen the commercials only at the store but Syd thinks they are like the coolest things ever. I personally think they seem pretty useless).

Rob asked for Wolverine. I'm worried he may have meant the actual real-life Wolverine (I'm sure many women wish for that too), but poor Rob is going to have to settle for the toy.

so cute....my children have asked for a ride in santa's sleigh (from Sofia) and a pair of gloves (from Flynn).....so random.....they are both getting bikes :)
Never heard of pillow pets here in Australia!!

OMG! I have a pillow pet! They used to have smaller sized ones. I got it 2 years ago, but my boy cat, Grayson, thought it was his girlfriend and we ended up having to throw it away. Right after we got the replacement (which I use all the time on the couch...cushions my neck perfectly!) they became HUGE. I like to think I started this useless trend :P.

Useless? You obviously need to see the commercials!

It's a pillow! It's a pet! It's a pillow pet!!!!

Useless my eye.

Reagan wants a pillow pet too! Her big thing she has consistantly asked santa for is a fishing pole.... a fishing pole... seriously, I have a Pottery Barn Kitchen in my basement for her and she wants a fishing pole... I could have saved a lot of money had she told me that earlier... so she is getting a fishing pole in her stocking.

Oh yeah, the pillow pets are the hot item right now. My nephew LOVES his and now his brother is dying for one. To add to Kristal's comment: Don't forget that they're machine washable!

Great pic!! I love Rob's expression. Maybe it helped this year that Santa kinda resembles your dad??

My kids have pillow pets and actually use them quite often. Rae sleeps on hers every night. I pretty much dislike all stuffed animals, but at least this one has the bonus use of a pillow. Oh, and Dollar General (do they have those in Utah?) has a generic pillow pet!

We saw Santa today too and my kids LOVED him - last year they were iffy about him.

What a cute pic.
And at least our santa looks like santa should, the one near us quite obviously looks like a 40 year old security guard. Jealous I am.
I agree about the pillow pet, I think they look pretty useless too :)

My kids are getting Pillow Pets. My daughter is clueless, but my son has requested a pig for her and a penguin for himself.

Yup. No commercials here, either, and my girls have managed to spot the Pillow Pets and ask for them (ladybugs, of course).

Glad you guys got to go see Santa. Sorry I hijacked Rob's first visit to him this year. :/
