Embrace Messy Hair

I love having long hair, but sometimes it ends up being kinda "blah". I'm always looking for something, anything different to do with it. (cute Etsy print from this shop)

Then I ran across these posts on CUP OF JO. I'm kind of loving the messy dos.

Love it..but if you can actually tell what to do based on those pictures, you're a better woman than I.

Man I love those. I'm terrible at hair. I'm in process of growing mine out, and then I'm definitely going to be trying these. Maybe I'll try them on my daughter in the meantime.

I thought messy hair was not supposed to take that much work. I mean, when you have to get a curling iron and hairspray out... it is no longer messy!

Easy fix: cut it all off. Get yourself a short little cute emo 'do...so easy. Short hair has to be maintained a bit more often...but it is SO easy and versatile...check out photos of Jean Seberg in her short hair and french sailor shirt, or in the 1960 film Breathless...(mine isn't quite that short)...but it's so chic it will make you think about it. You long hair girls are pretty attached to your hair...but you'd be amazed how fun and easy short is...just my 2 cents...

Yes, short hair is often "fun" and "easy" and usually "pretty cute" but you don't often hear people say short hair is "beautiful"... just different styles for different people... I LOVE all these examples! I need to figure out how to do #1! Help me?
