HOW TO: Easy Pretty Cupcakes

How to make cupcakes look really cute without doing much:

1. Buy a jar of frosting. Buy & make a box cake and box brownies (if I were to do this again I would make the brownies thinner- so a bigger pan or less brownie mix in the pan).

2. Buy small cookie cutters- this was harder. I finally found this one. Spray the cookie cutter with cooking spray (you'll have to do this a couple times between cutting out the brownies).

3. Cut out the brownies. There is a learning curve- you'll have to shake them around & pull them out semi-carefully.

4. Frost. I got a tub of frosting from the grocery store. I know cooler people than me always make their own frosting, but I am not that cool. Nor could commit the time (also make sure you have a frosting test taster).

5. Put the brownie hearts on the top.

6. Present them! (they got quite a reception because A: cupcakes are always cute B: brownies are always tasty 3: it looks like you worked SUPER hard on them)

Haha I just made brownies last night and oh man they are so bad here. The boxed brownies are so lame, I am having my parents bring a box of american brownies because I NEED some american brownies. And holy cow I wish there was frosting here and PAM.

Cute cupcakes, yum.

Yummo!!! This idea I absolutely love and I am so going to steal!! But in payment of pinching your idea I will give you one of my fab, super, easy recipes that always gets commented on. It is a Jelly Slice and the ingredients are as follows....
3 packets of jelly crystals
1 tbls gelatine
3 cups boiling water
1 cup cream
Mix crystals, gelatine and water until all disolved then add cream and stir. Pour into a baking tray lined with paper (making it easy to lift out when set) and then pop into the fridge over night.
When set I pull out of the baking tray and use cookie cutters to cut shapes. The slice is two layers....jelly layer on the bottom and creamy layer on the top!

So there you go, my fab jelly slice recipe (taken from the 4 ingredients cook book for kids in case you want to google it) for you and all your blog readers and because I am in Australia and you guys are in the USA hopefully no one would have heard of this recipe before and you can be the star when you show up with a plate of your jelly slice goodness!!!
