I am IN LOVE with cool little stops on cross country drives. Like... the worlds largest ball of twine, a replica of Stonehenge made of cars, or Rachel, NV (the most UFO sitings in America). I found this cool book, Eccentric America, that lists the neat-o places side trips you can take while traveling cross country- I want this book for my next long drive. Here's a map of the most eccentirc places in America... looks like Utah is LOW on the map- TOO BAD!
