Night Owls

So, the Carter family is filled with night owls. We love to stay up late- we were hoping when we had kids they'd wake up early so we'd get on a better schedule but either I gave birth to two "late nighters" or we've forced them to conform to our schedule. Anyway, the point is its difficult for us to get up in the morning... not pleasant. But I was looking online and saw some alarm clocks that could help us get up in the morning (some I would NEVER buy).... what do you think?

  • This is an puzzle alarm clock that makes you put together a puzzle before it turns off. But I think Syd would steal one of the pieces one day & the alarm would never stop.
  • This clock that shakes you bed when its time to get up. Although it might be more like rocking the bed which would put me to sleep.
  • I would NEVER, not in a million years, own this clock. I can't imagine a creepy robot talking and winking at me to get me to wake up. Ewww....
  • This is cool- it's an ipod alarm clock (so you can wake up to music) but it looks like an old school alarm- I LOVE IT!

I hate hate hate alarm clocks and I think I would end up punching that robot one.

Colin conformed to my night owl ways and always slept in until 9 am. Glorious. From the day Gabe was born, he wanted to go to bed early and get up early. Colin and I had to conform to him. Both schedules had their benefits. I love having the time off after they go to bed at night, but I really miss sleeping in.

Remember the one you had in Skyview where it would have a light shooting out of it.... am I making this up? It was red I think.... I don't know...

Here's a link to the clock you had that projected time on the ceiling -- but I guess they don't sell it anymore: http://www.atomicclocksonline.com/noname.html

And I =LOVE= this one, at least as an idea. After the alarm goes off, the clock rolls off the night stand and you have to chase it around the room to shut it off:
