Syd's interesting nursery lesson

Sydney goes to nursery at church & when I pick her up they have a sign on the door letting the parents know what they learned about that day. Usually it's something like, "I can be honest like the Stripling Warriors" or "I love the prophets" or "Jesus created the world". They have activities & lessons based on those themes.

Yesterday I went & got Sydney from her class & she handed me this picture (on the right). So, I look at it, then check the sign on the door. Lo & behold, the lesson is IN FACT entitled, "I am thankful for fish".

This lesson was a slight deviation from the norm & I have to admit that I sometimes wish my Sunday School lessons where something fun like this. Hurray for fish!

That's why nursery is the bomb.

Fish... I guess it's good to learn to be grateful for all the little things early on! That's funny....

Maybe it's time for another trip to the aquarium!

ya Liv, you would be suprised! those are the only lessons that me and my co-nursery workers brave... only one kid in our nursery can speak. Its pretty sad when you are looking through the manuel, and your thinking all the lessons are too hard...

I loved those "I am thankful for" lessons when I taught nursery. Poor Elizabeth is the only one in nursery and will be until we move or Amelia turns 18 months. AND she'll be in nursery until she's almost 4. Right now she hates it unless we have visitors or are visiting another ward...then she loves it.

Ok, that's so hilarious what Krystal wrote about looking through the manual and thinking the lessons are too hard. I guess I'm just glad they didn't say "I'm thankful for fish" and then had a pic of my dinner plate. :)
