Book Recommendations: Part 3

Next, is a book I finished last week called Wicked Lovely. Now, stay with me.... It's about faeries. I know, I'm not a "fairy" person but in this book they are normal sized people that humans can't see & cause mischief. Faeries just bug me, (maybe not everyone is as racist against faeries as I am- it's just a bit too much for me) but not in this book.

I liked it: fun love triangle, original ideas, bits of mystery. It is a bit more gritty though... I'm just putting it out there. The second book in the series, Ink Exchange, is NOT for everyone. It's really dark & was a bit much for me- fair warning!

You might like the Gemma Doyle trilogy, A Great and Terrible Beauty, Rebel Angels, and The Sweet Far Thing by Libba Bray. There is not as much romance, but it's about magic and being true to yourself. I liked them.

YA books are the best! If you own these will you let me borrow them? I need to give The Lux back to you...

I liked the first book in this trilogy. I'm reading Ink Exchange now. I thought the end was too fast. I would have liked a better denouement. Otherwise, it was good. Again, would have been better a little farther from reading the Host...fiction authors can't beat that kind of writing in my opinion.

PS. Heather, when you're done, I need the second Gemma Doyle book. I liked the first book of that better than this one and about the same as City of Bones.
