Rob's Hip Dyslasia

Rob was born with a condition called hip dysplasia. When he was first born we "double diapered" him (a diaper, plus 2 cloth diapers to hold his hips right). I can't even tell you how many moms tried to stop me thinking I didn't know how to use cloth diapers.
Then they put him in this fun little brace that made his legs like little "froggie" legs. It really wasn't so bad. The worst parts were the people staring, the inability for him to wear pants, & his complete lack of tummy time (hence the helmet). Anyway, the point is he's been out of it for a while, but every 6 months we trek up to Primary Childrens Hospital in SLC to get x-rays & check him out. Today we got another "his hips still look good" from the doc!P.S. If anyone knows anyone going through this send them my way because I wish I had more support from people that knew & information than I did at the time.

You always handle your trials with such amazing patience and optimism! You're all, "it wasn't that bad except A, B, C, and D!!!!" and any one of those things would have driven me to the nut house. And I probably would've beat someone for staring at my kid.... or telling you you didn't know how to cloth diaper correctly... ahhhhh! I'm so proud of you and so happy Rob's doing so awesome!

Oh my gosh I forget how cute Rob was when he was brand new. He really was one of the cutest newborns ever.
