TWILIGHT: the MOVIE

I had a BLAST going to go see the Twilight movie on Friday. My mother-in-law & sis-in-law flew in for it & we had a fun group of girls in our homemade match-y t-shirts. Each one had a different quote & I forgot how many GREAT ones there are from the book.

I'm not going to give anything away about the movie for those of you waiting for the frenzy to die down before seeing it. But I did go in with LOW expectations & I ended up liking it quite a bit.

Although: 1. A few moments were supposed to be serious but were kind of funny, 2. Whoa- & a few CGI moments were terrible, & 3. The cheese factor was HIGH in a couple spots (but, let's all be honest, so is the book). But all in all, it was romantic & better than I thought it would be.

Chips & salsa afterward was the perfect capper to the night. We had SO MUCH FUN! And they are making the next movie, New Moon!

For those of you who HAVE seen it, what did you think?

I just wrote up my recap/review too! I think I felt the EXACT same way you did! That is too funny. It looks like you guys had a great night! (For me the pre/post party was half the fun of the movie!!)

We had a blast going as a group, too! But we missed out on the quote t-shirt idea. So FUN!!
Loved the movie, yes some cheese, and definitely lots of laughing during serious moments (but our husbands didn't get it because they haven't read the books.)

I took Christie on a date and we saw it. The camera work was just fine, considering all they had to do and how much budget we didn't have.

I think the fight at the end was way too quick and easy, especially since they made a point of mentioning Edward wasn't as strong as the others. But that's probably just the guy in me talking. Or my prior knowledge of White Wolf games & etc.

Christie points out the venom sucking thing was more important. But it's harder to make that look dramatic. Especially after he just ended a fight in 3 punches even though he was supposed to be overmatched.

Christie says she's getting me the books for Christmas so I can know what's going on. She was going nuts yesterday not being able to talk about everything.
