So, FOREVER ago my Aunt Meredith emailed me about how I made these onesies. They were SUPER easy. I made them, & a set of burp clothes, in the time it took to watch 2 sessions of conference.
1. I took the template from a Martha Stewart project. They were too small so I blew them up to be a bit more of a manageable size.
2. I cut out all the little pieces & use "HeatNBond lite" iron on adhesive and bonded the fabric to the onesie.
3. Then I took some embroidery thread & stitched all around the outside. (I don't know if this is completely necessary but I haven't learned how to do it on my sewing machine & I felt like it needed to be re-enforced somehow.)
That's it all done! Also there are millions of tutorials MUCH better than this, with MUCH cuter onesies that you can find if you search online.
Email me or comment if you have any questions.

We like the embroider thread to outline the patches. The iron on stuff works for a little bit but then starts to peel, so the border prevents that and it looks cute with the border.
We love the onesies from aunt Olivia! Mirian always gets compliments on them.
So cute! I'm going to try these!
I specifically like the embroidery thread outlining them - I want to make some!!!
