Tummy Tub

Has anyone heard of this Tummy Tub thing? I saw it on MSN the other day.
“'It’s designed to mimic the mother’s womb,'” Janis McKellar told TODAY’s Matt Lauer. As she spoke, her 14-month old son, John, sat serenely in his Tummy Tub, flanked by other parents and their babies, who seemed delighted to be bathing in warm water while curled up in fetal position."
Both my babies hated taking bathes unless I got in & held them. I wonder if this would be something they'd like?

On the other hand it's $45 & yet another thing you have to store in your house.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THE TUMMY TUB?

Oh my gosh, I don't know if it works or not or whatever, but what a GREAT picture. So so cute. Oliver is a pain in the neck in the bath right now because he gets WAY too excited. He loves it. He won't stay still and tries constantly to drink the water. I wish I could try one of these out without spending $45. Wonder if I could find a huge bowl like that.

How cute is the chubby baby front-left. What a great picture!
$45 is pretty pricey! It seems like the thing is a plastic bowl that's just big enough for the baby - I bet you could find one of these in like a storage section or something for cheaper!

How about a bucket out of the garage? :)

This makes total sense. After I birth a child I'm going to buy a paint bucket and use it for a tub. $45 is a joke.

AMEN to all the comments previously. I am not paying $45 for a bucket. Besides, the baby second from the front on the right doesn't look too happy. It looks like Matt Lauer had trouble finding a story and had to go with this one.

I remember seeing some kind of tub like this from time to time on my mommy boards...seems like it was a Euro something or other. Yeah, I can't imagine spending $45 on something like that when I can just take a bath with the baby and nurse at the same time.

I think I would just go find a $3 bucket at Target and it could serve the same purpose. Good idea though.

I was going to make the bucket comment and everyone beat me to it! Yep, bucket, put a towel in the bottom, and do not leave your baby unattended ;)

And another thing to try to emmulate the womb effect is to swaddle your baby and slowly lower them into the water like that.... but that picture is awesome of all the babies in the buckets!
