Happy Birthday Mom!

We had a little get together with some friends to celebrate my mom's birthday. It was simple- cupcakes & drinks, but it was fun and turned out very pretty! Can't go wrong with pink.

Thanks to everyone who came & celebrated with us! Happy Birthday Mom!

The cupcakes were High-Hat Cupcakes & they turned out better than last time, but they certainly aren't cooperative lil' things. The drinks were made-up 'mock-tails' garnished with cherries & cotton candy.

You are so flippin' awesome! Everything you do (even when you call it "simple") is 10x cooler than anything I work my butt off doing. Seeing those cupcakes is really gonna mess up my diet.

shut it! so cute! i was hoping that was cotton candy on those sticks! and after more reading it was confirmed so. oh man. i need to do that. did you just buy a big thing of cotton candy and re wrap them on those sticks???

Yup, just a bag of cotton candy and set on the sticks- you have to be careful though b/c if it slips into the drink it dissolves in second (but it tastes great when that happens too!)

Happy Birthday, Marie!! I sent her a card but it got there late, I am sure. I love the cotton candy toppers on those drinks--very cool! Marie is lucky to have such a great daughter (and you are lucky to have such a terrific mom, as I'm sure you know).

Always so creative...Where do you come up with these ideas. You need to write a book.
