Santa 2009

For Family Night we went to see Santa.

I've got mixed feelings about the whole Santa thing, but despite me NEVER really talking about Santa (ie: what is Santa going to bring you? If you're bad Santa's going to bring you coal?) somehow they both are still OBSESSED with him.

Syd hopped right up on Santa's lap & nuzzled up to him. She seriously was enamored, practically kissing him as she told him she wanted more doll house furniture (which was SO not on her list of a princess crown & a wand, might need to brave one more trip to Target).

Rob was terrified but when Scott & I agreed to sit with him calmed down a bit. When Santa asked him what he wanted for Christmas Rob froze, "Ummm.... ummm.... ummmm..." it was like The Christmas Story. Poor guy. I reminded him about his undying devotion to Spiderman & he remembered, "Oh, Spiderman toys."

The kids had a blast & are still talking about it so I call it a successful outing.

Past Santa visits here: 2007 & 2008

I think it's hard to get away from the magic and mystery of Santa as a kid, even if your parents don't talk about it. This one has quite a mischevious sparkle in his eyes!

Cute picture! Reagan has surprised me with a few "Santa Requests" that I havd to make an extra trip for... mostly because she asked for things for Brody (a Toy Story Woody Doll) that I was totally not planning on getting him... he's getting one now though... gotta save face for Santa =)

Is this at University Mall? This santa is super cute! We always go to the Provo mall, and I totally should have been going to UM the whole time!
