Too Quiet

Anyone who has been around kids knows that feeling.

The one where you realize that the kids are too quiet and they must be getting into some sort of trouble.

Because that would be the only explanation for such a blissful sound of nothing.

And you're imagining what they could have possibly gotten into.

Used kitty litter in the dryer?

Diaper cream all over the couch?
A whole roll of toilet paper unraveled into the toilet?
Half a jar of Nutella being licked off their little hands by the puppy?

And then you breathe a sign of relief when you see this...

So much better than the "Lipstick Fiasco of '09".

I loved this post! It's so true! He'll be so quiet and then I usually find him doing something he shouldn't... like sitting with a binky-not the end of the world, I know. But sometimes I have found him reading his books. So sweet when that happens! :)

That is awesome. I've entered the stage where that's usually where I find my kids when it's quiet...settled down with a good book.

What a relief, huh?

And I love the color of the walls.

Blaise always finds somewhere to be alone and is really quiet when he is pooping. That is why it has been so hard to potty train him.

Your kids are just so stinkin' cute

That is so cute, that is how I feel 90% of the time especially when my Hawk disappears and its super quite, I usually find him up on my bathroom sink putting my makeup on or trying to eat one of my beaded braclets. Wish there were more moments in my case where I did find him quietly reading books!
