Grasshopper Cookie Straw

Some of you may already know this but I learned too late in life to fully enjoy its goodness so I am sharing with you the joys of the GRASSHOPPER COOKIE STRAW with you now:

1. Get a box of Kebler Grasshopper Cookies & a BIG glass of milk

2. Bite a little end off the top & a little end off the bottom

3. Put one end in the milk & one end up to your mouth. Suck the milk up through the cookie (like a straw). Then pop the cookie in your mouth.

Seriously, when you bite it the cookie will be all soggy in the middle and YUMMY YUMMY GOODNESS!

Try it & let me know what you think. For anyone who had tried the marvelous Grasshopper Cookie Straw leave your testimony as to it's life changing (& hip growing) goodness.

I have been introduced (by an online community, at that!) to a similar type of treat. This one comes from Australia, as does the cookie.

It is called a "Tim Tam Slam".
It works the same, but the cookie is a Tim Tam (waffer and chocolate, but rectangle and bitten off at opposite corners). Beverage is hot; likely coffee, hot chocolate (very sweet!), etc.

It's on Wiki!

Oh and you will have figured out that, when you suck the coffee through, once it reaches your lips you SLAM the Tim Tam in your mouth.

Very elegant, of course, but mostly very yummy. ;)

Sounds heavenly! I, like, Smithy, would definitely eat the whole box in very short order. Must save myself from myself by not even buying the cookies. I'm living vicariously through you, Liv!

PS Sorry we weren't able to meet up this weekend!!

This sounds delicious. I am a huge cookie and milk fan, but sadly I cannot consume chocolate right now.. Mayan breaks out and gets fussy whenever I do. You'd think this would at least help me lose weight, but nooo I just replace it with non chocolate sweets.

I've heard of the Tim Tam Slam but never the grasshoppers. My friend from Hawaii introduced me to it (but maybe she heard about it from Australia I dont know). You can buy Tim Tams at walmart. They're similar to the grasshopper only not minty. But the chocolaty and cookie stuff. Yum

This sounds amazing. I have NEVER tried it with a grasshopper cookie. I used to do something like this when I was little with those Stripey cookies that the Keebler elves make...

Anyway, grasshopper cookies sound much better than those, anyway! Maybe one day they will make a Gluten Free one. :) One can only dream... maybe I should try to make them... I think I've found a corner in the market! Of course, it doesn't taste the same with Almond milk... But I could try it!
