Sydney's bedtime story last night:
SYD: Once upon a time there three kids. They put their books in their backpacks & went to school.
SCOTT: Cool!
SYD: And on their way they took a wrong turn & ended up at the "vampire school"!
SCOTT: Oh no! Did they die?
SYD: No... (pause) ... not yet...
Leave it to Scott to encourage the macabre & leave it to Syd to pick up on the hopping popularity of vampires.

I think that might even be pink highlighter blood on the vampires mouth.

P.S. I can see that maybe Syd heard the word "vampire", but how does she know they have 2 pointy teeth? Maybe Count Chocula or episodes of ScoobyDoo at the gym?

Truly a girl after my own heart!!! My favorite book in 6th grade? Bram Stoker's Dracula...not that I fully understood the whole thing but it brought me many nights of late-night reading.

It's the pink highlighter on the mouth that really gets to me! That is just too funny and cute to be disturbing.
