Rob's First Day of Primary

It was Rob's first Sunday in primary & I had this sudden realization that my baby is growing up. Soon he'll be four & in preschool. It made me all sorts of teary.

Plus the poor boy was terrified. He's been sensitive & out of sorts lately (since my mom passed away, Thanksgiving, & Christmas) so Scott had to sit with him to get through the class.

This is just another example of how different siblings are (Syd's first day of primary here). It blows my mind sometimes.

But when we got home, we had mint icecream as a treat to CELEBRATE!

I can't believe he is already in Primary! I remember when he was just a baby! How cute!

Tell me about it! Elizabeth skipped out of the last year of Nursery and did Sunbeams 2x. Amelia, on the other hand, put on her pouty face and said, on the verge of tears, "I don't want to be a big kid!" She did stay...starting out sitting with her big sister (several of our new Sunbeams were sitting with older siblings). I think it helped that we've been doing a Mommy-run preschool with 5 of the new Sunbeams.
Now, leaving Jeb in Nursery in March...that's what I'm scared of!

Moving to Primary is a hard transition! His sweater and tie combo is absolutely dapper, I love it!

Blaise starting primary was tough because he had JUST turned three, so he was the youngest of the bunch. But luckily he had a fantastic teacher, so he enjoyed the transition.

Sometimes I think that boys get a lot more sensitive and out of sorts when things are different. At least that's the way it has been for Blaise. Or maybe it is just the age. We are just now recovering from our thanksgiving trip and having visitors, and it's nice to see Blaise returning to his normal self. I hope Rob gets all back to normal soon!

What a cute little man!!! I love that he's so cuddly now. He used not want to be held by anyone, now he will hug me and without prompting, tell me, "I love you Uncle Russ". I love it!!!!

Give Berto a hug from his Uncle Russ!!!!

My little Max started Primary too. His birthday is in October so he is one of the younger in the bunch. I didn't even think about it until we were walking down the hall toward Nursery and I thought, "Wait?! You are a Sunbeam, little man!" He wasn't super happy about it (like Rob)...but when church was over he had pride written all over his face and said, "Mom, I'm big now. I go to 'Pwy-mowy' like James!" (my oldest son)
Have you found the "pause button" on your kids yet? Let me know when you do b/c I'm dying to find mine:)

Oh my goodness, he's getting so big! What a sweet little spirit he has. I'm sure he'll get comfortable and then just love it!

He's such a cutie! But I won't lie... all I can think about now is how I don't have any mint chocolate chip ice cream.
