Morning Green Smoothie

So, I've been trying hard to eat healthy this year. My writer group friend, Rachel, suggested what her sister is doing for a resolution: 50% RAW foods .

One of the ways I LOVE to get my raw fruits & veggies in is a green smoothie in the morning & I happened to have just seen this article in RealSimple with a bunch of smoothie recipes in it. Check it out:

This morning we did: spinach, kale, mango, strawberries, & coconut milk. Oh tasty, tastiness!

And the kids love it!

I know it looks scary. I was skeptical at first too, but trust me taste it & you'll love it.

We've been drinking lots of smoothies around here too! I think our only difference is the coconut milk, I've been using fat free yogurt. Yours sounds yummy, but I agree, it doesn't look that way.

So thats what you're using the coconut milk for! When I saw it on facebook I was intrigued... I've only used it in Thai food.

I make my green "monster" smoothie with pineapple, banana, and tons of spinach. I have heard kale is good in smoothies as well. Good for you for eating so healthy!
