I feel good.

Having a new baby is a lot of work. Juggling time with the kiddos, nursing, lack of sleep, recovering from birth. It's a lot.

But I'll be darned if I don't feel good. Nay, great. Mostly because I'm not pregnant anymore. I've had to remind myself I just gave birth & rein in my raucous glee so I can continue healing.

However, let me quickly count the ways that not being pregnant is awesome:
1. I can drink caffeine whenever I want
2. I can sleep on my belly- going to sleep is now a treat!
3. No more heart burn
4. My brain will let me talk about things other than being pregnant.
5. No peeing my pants when I sneeze

And last but not least... 6. the gorgeous new baby the fam & I get to hang out with!

I so hear you on these, especially the bit about sleeping on your belly! When I was about eight months pregnant I actually dreamed that I had to have a C-section and the doctor told me I couldn't sleep on my belly for three more months. I awoke horrified.

Oh, and don't forget - now you can take Ibuprofen and Sudafed if you need them.

And you look wonderful, too!

I'm so impressed with your "last-minute" pre-blessing luncheon as well. Something tells me you had a little more time to prep than you're letting on. Everything looked fabulous (as usual). How nice that so many friends and family were able to share the special event with you.
