Hey My Bestest Peeps!
Oh, what a week we have had! The biggest news was that Sydney was excepted into a Portuguese Immersion Program (which is awesome for so many reasons- Scott speaks Portuguese & it's a great gateway language to French, Italian, or Spanish). But it's meant a lot of paperwork & moving Rob into the same elementary so he can start the program in 1st grade too. It's excellent for her & I feel a lot less stressed about her going to school with an opportunity like this. They had a few days of "day camp" this past week & had a cute little program on Friday- I can't believe how much she's already learned!
We also rocked the County Fair this weekend. The joy fairs give me in unparalleled. We hung out with lots of sheep, ate funnel cakes, checked out prized gourdes, & also rode one terrifying & nearly vomit inducing carnival ride. I call that a good weekend!
Scott's gonna kill me for this but I'd like to give him a little shout out. I don't know what I would do without that man. Seriously, this week I've been a wreak (the kind you slow down to see if there were any fatalities). Scott has saved this house & this wifey from falling down. He's helped out with Linc, built me storage in the garage ALL DAY Saturday, & he teaches the 8 & 9 year olds in our church like a professional. I don't know how he does it all but I sure do appreciate him.
And with ALL that, I will sign off & say THANK YOU awesome readers & commenters of my blog. Tomorrow is my 5 year blog anniversary & there will be a fun giveaway- more on that tomorrow.
But a preemptive I LOVE YOU ALL to you!
P.S. My lovely friend Misty over at Handbags & Handguns listed out Sunday Family pictures as one of her "What I'm Loving, This Very Minute". Such an honor!

Fun! Glad she'll be in the portuguese immersion program. I' ve been seeing signs for it all over town. Live your Sunday family pictures. Such a cute idea.
I thought about you on your Mom's birthday this week. What a wonderful woman and you are her greatest creation (she told me that often!) You are awesome!
This might be my favorite Sunday Family picture yet! I love the manicial look on Rob's face, and the fact that he's holding Linc makes it even funnier. And then Syd, with her quirky look, holding the cat, who has that intense stare that seems to be saying, "come here, dahling, so that I can pounce on you." Ahh, priceless!!
Congrats to Syd too! I am a big fan of language immersion programs. (Obviously a big proponent of learning foreign languages period.)
(PS I think you mean she was ACCEPTED to the program.)
So I look at your sunday pictures and think I need to start doing something similar to document our lives.
Also, did you get yellow saltwater sandals? Those are adorable sandals!
Congrats on 5 years. You are awesome!
sounds like a crazy week! I'm super excited for Syd to do that program, what a great opportunity. Living with Matt who loves linguistics, it makes me wish I was fluent in something. I hope Natalie gets a chance to do something like that!
I also love Sunday family posts, and I saw that on her blog yesterday... you're famous!
congrats on getting into the program- that is exciting! One day I hope to do something similar with my kiddos- such a useful trait and skill! xo
HAHAHAHA.. Loving the picture this week, it's cracking me up!
