Sunday Family- July 14th

Hello Ides of July!

It's been a busy week and I'm not even sure with what. Just that I was busy and I'm exhausted, even as another week begins. But as I looked through my Instagram feed to try and figure out what we've been up to I noticed we did one of two things:

ERRANDS: Most of it was running errands which, let's be honest, with 3 children is like unto running a marathon. Some fun stuff like the library or clothes shopping with a friend. And some not so fun stops like a 3 hour long trip to Target.
 AND

RESTING: Looking at pictures it seems like we did a fair bit of chilling too, which as Carters we are most expert at.
And, you guys, I've avoided going to the grocery store for weeks now, to the point where even Scott Carter has noticed the bareness of our cupboards and fridge. I guess I better bite the bullet this week. Any dinner/lunch suggestions are always welcome! The only thing I hate more than cooking is figuring out what to cook.

Wish me luck! XOXO!

I totally hate figuring out what to cook too. I just made a recipe for braised pork (it says for tacos, but you can serve it over lettuce for a lighter salad option or over rice to enjoy the juices/sauce, too). It took a long time to cook so start it in the afternoon and let it do its thing while you do yours (or put in a slow cooker). Here's the link:

I also enjoy build-yourself veggie wraps with chopped peppers, edemame, tomatoes, sprouts, cucumbers, or whatever else you want to put in. Spread some soft cheese on the tortilla (like Boursin) and it's heaven!

PS I like Target too but what did you do there for THREE hours? :)

Oh my gosh, me too! deciding what to make is the worst! Then you have to figure out what you need to make super fast before meats/veggies go bad... menu planning is awful. I have a post on my blog of some of my more often made meals if that helps! Good luck!

Looks like you had a fun week! I hope I get to at least see you when you drop off the kids for Grandma camp! And with any luck, the baby will be here too!
