Dear Mr. M. Night Shyamalan ,
Do you remember back in the day? You know... The Sixth Sense , Unbreakable , Signs , The Village? Those were the days, huh? We laughed, we cried, but mostly you scared the CRAP out of me (& I loved it!). I miss those days... when you were courting my attention.
Then you brought me Lady in the Water ... I came with high expectations, ready to commit. Like an "okay" first kiss I was slightly entertained but mostly hoping the next would be better.
Then last week Scott & I watched The Happening. I was anticipating this encounter for MONTHS. And like a bad second kiss I wanted to love it. It had its moments, but what I really wanted was for it to END... & unlike the rest of our times together the ending was DEPRESSING. I was left with one question- do I even want to try again?
Let's approach this next movie like a GOOD kiss- you want to be a lil' scared & nervous, surprised by how good it is, have twists & turns, & in the end you want to be left satisfied but wanting more.
Three bad kisses in a row = a break up in my book.
Longing to love you again, Olivia

(sigh) Chad and I feel the same way. Lady in the Water was just too bad to deny.
....I am willing to give him another try, someday...
What happened M. Night?
Roy watched Lady in the Water without me and he insists that I do not want to waste my time watching it. So I haven't seen it and don't plan to. Poor M.Night - I guess he just lost his touch after the first four. Bummer.
c'mon... i liked the village and Lady in the Water was not that bad. i like that his movies are different. I may not want to own all of them (in fact i don't own any) but i don't think they're lacking in creativity
I'm really glad you wrote this. I will not got in for this "kiss," and then maybe the next one will be hot!
Ok- I'm a blog stalker... :)
Love what you do and this is by far the BEST post ever!
And i have to agree completely. ALthough I did like the Village, Lady in the Water and The Happening were WAY down hill.
I hope he reads this..... he needs a good kick in the butt. :)
