Annette Lyon, who taught my writing class, just released a new book, Band of Sisters. A couple girls (Debbie & Susan) from the class & I went to show our support at the book launch party on Friday.

i am reading "a boy named shel" a biography about shel silverstein. very interesting. he is my favorite so duh, i had to read his bio.
One of my favorite books was The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime. It's awesome.
The Cellist of Sarjevo by Steven Galloway.

Hey, your face looks so skinny in those pictures! I finally finished Peeps! Really liked it. :) Now on to read some homeschool propaganda books... ;)
I'm reading a very good collection of stories, Portland Noir. About three years ago, when I lived in Washington, DC, I read DC Noir, an earlier book in the series, and loved it. I enjoy the fact that the stories take place in different parts of the city. When you know the city and its neighborhoods, the stories really come alive. Portland Noir is edited by Kevin Sampsell. If you are a fan of this genre (Maltese Falcon, for example), you'll love this series, which includes Manhattan Noir, Chicago Noir, and so on.
Your concealer is NOT too light. Maybe in the summer time... (I don't know about that though) but not now. :)
A book I enjoyed out of the typical genres that I read is "Outliers" by Malcolm Galdwell. Just very interesting.
I'm glad we all got to go out that night. I vote we do it again and this time make it longer. :) I read the book last week and really enjoyed it. I also just finished Fablehaven 2 and Courting Miss Lancaster. Both great books!
